Hornby Lighthouse, also known as South Head Lower Light or South Head Signal Station. Among young folks this lighthouse is also often called Candy Bar Lighthouse because it painted un Red and White stripes.

It is an active lighthouse located on the tip of South Head, New South Wales, Australia, suburb Watsons Bay.

It is the third oldest lighthouse in New South Wales, year first constructed 1858.

What is special about it ?

Hey its still operational and every day beam light in darkness.

Note: You can easily access to this lighthouse and walk around at any time of day. Must watch before for low tide if you need to go to rock platform down under lighthouse. During the high tide, the rocks just goes under water.

How to reach

Finding lighthouse on google is pretty easy, but finding the exact path to walk up to lighthouse is bit tricky. Okies ... search for "30 Cliff St Parking, Watsons Bay" and you will directly reach to the best parking spot. Its free parking spot (till last time i visited there). To walk to lighthouse follow Heritage trail that starts right on the beach after Cliff St.
