Collaroy is a suburb in northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Northern Beaches region. Collaroy’s surf beach joins Narrabeen Beach at Wetherill Street making one continuous 3.4km surf beach. Narrabeen-Collaroy beach is Sydney's second longest beach. This is one of beach famous among swimmers and is excellent for beginner surfers.
First hotspot for sunrise photography is around ocean rockpool at the southern end of Collaroy Beach with easy access. Amazing place to capture reflections and waves.
Second hotspot for sunrise photography is Stormwater outlet, a reinforced concrete pipeline and box culvert that extends from the seawall into the surf zone. This spot provides unique composition with sunrise light at background.
